维也纳Cittador国际电影节致力于推广独立电影、艺术电影及作者电影。自2022年起，该电影节每年在维也纳举办为期一周的活动，展映来自国际、欧洲及奥地利的长片和短片。Cittador国际电影节将电影视为个人视野的表达，并积极支持非主流作品。电影节的另一大特色在于其对类型多样性的颂扬与呈现。入选的短片将在维也纳的电影院放映，而长片及其他短片则通过在线平台Cine.Cittador进行展映。

所有长片和短片均应展现出强烈的艺术视野和极高的美学水准。Cittador国际电影节不仅呈现成熟的电影类型，还展映那些能够激发灵感、挑战思维并娱乐观众的跨类型作品。
